Oxygen Scavenger
Oxygen Scavenger
An ammonium-bisulphite based oxygen-scavenging solution used to remove dissolved oxygen from water-based oilfield fluids. Dissolved oxygen can accelerate corrosion of tanks, lines and downhole equipment, so oxygen scavenging is commonly used as part of a corrosion-control program.
Used in: Water-based drilling muds; workover, completion and packer fluids; oilfield water systems.
Why it is used: To remove dissolved oxygen and reduce oxygen-driven corrosion during fluid handling and well operations.
Key functions / benefits
- Rapid dissolved-oxygen removal
- Supports corrosion-control programs
- Suitable for several water-based fluid systems
Typical form: Liquid
Suggested packing*: 50 kg / 200 kg HDPE drums; IBC/bulk on request
