Biocide (Amine Type)

A quaternary-ammonium based oilfield biocide designed to control bacterial contamination in drilling fluids and oilfield water systems. It is particularly useful where mixed populations of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria can affect fluid quality, create odour, promote biofilm formation or contribute to microbiologically influenced corrosion.

Used in: Drilling muds; fresh-to-moderately saline oilfield waters; water-handling systems.

Why it is used: To control microbial growth, including sulphate-reducing bacteria, and help maintain fluid stability and system cleanliness.
