Biocide Non-Aldehyde Non-Amine Type (NANA)

A non-aldehyde, non-amine biocide designed for microbial control in oilfield water and process-fluid systems where conventional aldehyde- or amine-based biocides are not preferred. It can be considered for programs requiring an alternative biocide chemistry while maintaining effective control of bacteria that may affect fluid quality, promote biofilm formation or contribute to microbiologically influenced corrosion.

Used in: Oilfield water systems; water-based drilling/completion fluids; produced-water and injection-water treatment programs, subject to compatibility and field requirements.

Why it is used: To control bacterial growth while providing an alternative to aldehyde- and amine-based biocide chemistries.
